Yep, his life has been full of trainers too.  Think he's glad to finish that and the first quiz.  He is going to be an FT - fire tech.  It was his first choice so I think he's happy.  He's enjoying it over there too; think he's enjoying the freedom more than anything!

I won't be going to the BESS graduation but hope to go to the final graduation from "A" school sometime next year.  That's when all of the hard work will finally be finished and his Navy career really starts.

Were you and your husband at the airport the morning after PIR?  I could have sworn I either saw you or spoke to you at the airport!  I may be getting you confused with someone else but I could have sworn I saw you there.  It was nice to get that extra hour with them.  Met some of my sons friends; they are all some fine young gentlemen.  I'm so glad he picked this for his career!

My youngest son (who'll be a senior in high school this year) has started on his journey to join the Navy as well.  He filled out his paperwork and is beginning the process of going to MEPs for his physical and things like that.  Two sons in the military - I would never have believed it!!

Hope this finds you well.  Enjoy BESS graduation!  If you get a group picture let me know if you see a tall 6'4" boy in them because that's my son!!!!!  Take care!

Thanks so much for the info Jan.  I really have not gotten a chance to talk much to my son about his speciality as a STS (sonar tech - sub), but I do know that it will be top secret much of the time.

It truly will be of great support to be able to talk with Moms & Spouses of Sailor Submariners throughout his time in Groton.

Looking forward to e-talking more often.
