The Navy offers opportunities that...
This is all new to me. I will admit, I freaked out quite a bit when Chris told me he was going to enlist. The questions and concerns were overwhelming. Now that he has enlisted and I have found out new info, I am very proud and excited for him!

Hi Lorie (sorry I spelled your name wrong before).

Do you believe sending messages from "friend to friend" only can be read by us?  It is my understanding that these are "not" posted "on the wall" for anyone to read.  My husband reads pretty much everything he can on this website and fills me in.  I do have to remind him sometimes that this is Navy for "Moms" because he can be judgemental about what I write.  I do not mind constructive criticism, but we all have a right to our opinions --that's what my Dad taught me when I was growing up. (=

I forgot to answer a question in your first post below, 06/17/2011, 4:27 am...Yes, My husband and our two other adult children will be attending graduation.  It is possible that "his" graduation may be delayed two weeks, depending on the outcome of the next few weeks; he is "giving it his all" to prevent that from happening, but will see what happens in the next week or so.  He stated in a letter that he will leave there a "Sailor," not a civilian.  I am happy that he is determined.  I am hoping and praying that each day will get better for him, as he "learns the ropes" at RTC.
