A little about me:: married 32yrs; daughter just graduated from MSU and is moving 4 hrs away to start her "adult life and job"; my son, Will is 19 now and is an FT on the USS Columbia.

The Navy offers opportunities that...: It is a good fit for my son; we are proud to have him serve and are excited for his future, although we will miss having him here.
Our Navy experience so far...: It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

We are also staying at the Residence Inn Waukegan.Our daughter is in Ship 03 Division 82 as well...It has not been an easy journey for us.The first phone call was heartbreaking...Had a few letters since then,she was trying to keep her chin up...She is very homesick....Waiting for the next call...She did say that she needed another phonecard which I sent her on Friday......We are from Florida and can't wait to see her at graduation !

Hi, just trying to touch base with as many people as I can. My son, Brian is also in Div 82, he's 23 yr old, went to Boise State for 3 years, didn't like school and joined the Navy. Looking forward to seeing him in his uniform. Please let me know if you do wear a certain color scarf

Sorry for your loss - that is so awesome that your son gets to make it home for the funeral, I'm sure that means alot to him. And the way the Red Cross stepped up. Will be thinking of you
