Hey there - I think they must be - my son is also in Phase 2 (classes are at night right now- doing the simulation runs!! )  This is our 1st thanksgiving away from each other and it is killing me - I know he is doing great and loves what he is doing, but I miss him - we only got to see him for 13 hours after graduation - and even though i talk to him everyday and can skype him it is not the same.  He has duty in the morning on Thanksgiving and then he said a bunch of them or hanging around and having dinner on base later but its not the same, I know I have to get use to it but it is hard!!  Thanks for listening - Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.

Hello wmiranda - my son graduated on 1/30 and he is now stationed in Lemoore, CA.  Right now he does not have a roommate and loves his training as a Air Traffic Controller.  He has civilians working on the base with him too and since he doesnt have a car, one of the civilians has been taking him off base on the weekends to do some site seeing.  He has joined a softball and basketball team on base too - so he is keeping busy - he is planning on coming home for a long weekend (we have a wedding) in July and then hopefully he can come home for Christmas, if not we are going to go out there.  How is your son doing?
