Joj - I do not have access to the base, my son is in the Navy, but is stationed in Groton Ct. If you send me a private message, I will be glad to call you or your granddaughter. I would love to show her around the coast. I am sure she will find someone before long to hang around with - I can't imagine being away from my family in a strange area. Is she also from Indiana? I was born in Indianapolis, and graduated from high school there, but have lived here for about 35 yrs. I am a school nurse at Long Beach Middle School. We have a lot of students with parents stationed at the Seebee base. My neighbor is retired from the Seebees and have a cheife living several houses down. I took brownies when they moved in, but have not seen much of them since and that has been over a year ago. Let me hear back from you .
