I see you recently joined the Moms of Daughters 2 group and I want to welcome you!!  We are a friendly, supportive group of Moms and look forward to getting to know you and your sailor.  I see you are new to N4Ms and your daughter is in boot camp now?  I'm glad you have jumped in and join our conversations on our group page.  You can ask any questions you may have, talk freely about your feelings, fears or concerns, or just chat about life. There is no question that cannot be asked as we have all been in this newbie stage!! We are all in different phases of our daughter’s Naval careers - from newbies to those whose daughters have been in for several years - from officer to enlisted!!! We support all our sailor girls and each other as well. Not just during the Bootcamp days but the weeks and months following, as they go off to school, first duty station, or first deployment.  Let us support you when you're missing her, lend an ear when you need to vent, and celebrate with you when you want to brag!!  Again, Welcome Aboard!!!!!

Liz - I see that you do not have any "friends" on this site yet, and I wanted to make sure you were aware as to how the process works. This discussion of mine on the BC Mom group page explains it a little: 

How to send PMs (Private Messages) to friends on N4M & some OPS... - Also, I am going to send you friend request. That way, if you would like to reach out to someone and request to be there friend on this site, you know how to do so and how to send a private message. 

Liz - Yes, you may send me a private message when we are friends. I will send one to you so that you can see it. Look for your private messages in your Inbox (look in the upper left corner here on your profile page.)  And if you need to reach out to me quickly, you may post a comment on my page. If you click on my chipmunk picture, it will take you to my page, and the same with others. If they are set to private, you have to send them a friend request. 

Sorry for the delayed reply. I only get on N4M via my computer and I don't see my email feeds for messages unless I am on my email account. I can no longer check it on my phone, so I am only on it via my computer.
