My son, Josh, left for boot camp 1/19/2012. My husband and I were a wreck. Josh never been away from home before. We are now in October 2012 and he is in his first 10 month deployment aboard the USS Eisenhower in the Persian Gulf. We went through the stage where we cried all the time when he left for boot camp but now are so excited to hear of his adventures in all the foreign ports he visits. He was made some wonderful lifelong friendships and had grown into such an amazing man. We are so proud of him!

When I heard “Navy,” I...
Was proud and encouraged it
The Navy offers opportunities that...
They allowed my son to be the man God intended and he has seen the world!
Our Navy experience so far...
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.
