Profile Information:

A little about me:
I am a Navy Mom of 24 yrs- My son entered DEP in 1997,
I had been on this Site for years, but for some reason my emails will not let me log in, We went thru some things in 2009 to 2013, when we then lost our home to fire, 5 weeks after my mom passed from pancreatic cancer, so in the shuffle of life my original profile here on Navy4Moms either was archived or whatever. AnyWay I am back!
AND A Joy to be Back! If there are any NEW Navy Moms that need or would like some support - I would love to offer it, I may not know everything but surely have been NavyMamaB for long enough time going on 24 years, that I might be able to safely say "been there".

I Remember how it was when I was a new NavyMama - and cried for days - later one when I joined Navy4Moms - I learned from other seasoned NavyMoms that it was Normal to cry. Oh the stories I can share!

Such as - Crying on the shoulder of a woman in fatigues at my son's last promotion, and her telling me " oh that is ok" my dad would cry too. I asked my daughter in law the next day who that woman was that I was crying with next to that pole and she was handing me kleenex? and she said Oh her, that is the Chief of the base! His promotion was at NavySupply Headquarters in Mechanicsburg PA - seriously through all these years, I really really have tried not to embarrass my son with tears!
I am here to support my
Son/Daughter
Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy career?
Officer
When I heard “Navy,” I...
needed to learn more about it, was proud and encouraged it, had concerns or fears
The Navy offers opportunities that...
Created a Career - as it has my Son -, who is now a Commander. His promotion was Oct1, 2019. We have been thru many many deployments, and exciting and fearful times in the Navy, and have met many many friends as well, I am very Proud and Honored to be a NavyMamaB thru all these years!

Actually I first heard about Navy4Moms on a TV ad in about 2007 I think it was, Maybe?? and When I joined there were so few of us at the time, and also at the time my son was deployed, and when I told him I had joined this Group called Navy4Moms he gave me heck over the phone, warning me of "the enemy could be in there Mom!!" I told him Son, We have Navy People In there too! and they keep an eye out on us all! I was over joyed to finally to be able to connect with other NavyMoms - later I joined Molly's Adopt a Sailor and oh those years were so so much Fun! To the point I was Dancing with the Marines at the MN State Fair when we won Pepsi Refresh! And they had seen our boxes while on deployments! Pure Joy!
Our Navy experience so far...
has been positive and maturing., is challenging and exciting., has presented us with many questions.
