A little about me:
i am a very dedicated mom and am mourning so badly not speaking to my son is torture. i need support , I need to know my son is ok..... a friend told me about this site and thought it would help me cuz im going crazy i have never not seen or spoken to my son in 18years and we are a very tight italian family im hoping this will help.

    Remember....the separation during bootcamp is very very difficult.  The "no or little contact" thing is so hard.  But it does get better.  Once they get to A School, you are back in contact with them again.  Just remember....the Navy is watching out for your son, feeding him well, watching over him, and yes, making him into a sailor!  That process is hard for them, but at PIR, you will be so very proud.

    So hang in there!  My son went through back in 2009....I just stay on the PIR pages to help out.
