Be sure to check out the Pages (found under the pictures of the Members) for information on what to expect while you have a recruit and to help you prepare for PIR after you receive the form letter.  Once your SR has sworn in at MEPS you can change "Waiting to leave for Boot Camp" above to "Enlisted." What is your SR's rating (job/specialty) going to be? There are groups for most ratings and/or "A" Schools and knowing that will help you to better plan for PIR weekend. Hello all! Well, my daughter was supposed to ship out yesterday, the 29th, but there was a delay at MEPS, so she spent the night at a hotel and left San Diego early today the 30th.  Still awaiting a call from her. My husband and I shed tears all the way home from San Diego. So many mixed emotions right now. We're proud of her, scared for her, miss her etc...   She is still 17, and will celebrate her 18th birthday while in Basic Training.

My son Avery is Ship 03 Div 368 too.
