Welcome to NavyforMoms.com. My name is Ronny and my son has been in the Navy since February of 2012. He is currently stationed in San Diego with a Helicopter Squadron. He is an Aviation Structural Mechanic. I hope you find all the info you are looking for here, and if you have any questions feel free to ask. My son is 3rd Generation Navy, so I do know a little about the Navy..:)
If you have a new Sailor who is in Boot Camp, or leaving soon, visit CallsforRecruits.org and I will send you FREE Pre-Paid Phone cards for your SR to use while they are in boot camp. I started that program when my son left for Boot Camp :)
Welcome Aboard and I wish your Sailor Fair Winds and Following Seas.
I hope he likes Japan...that would be pretty awesome...:) I am sure you will find plenty of useful info here, and if your husband wants a place to call his own, NavyDads.com has lots of great info too..lol
Becks - my son is on the CW for 14 months. There's not a lot of activity on the Sailors of the USS CW page. For the best info join the Japan Mom's page. It's a little overwhelming at first but a great support group and lots of fun. It,s moms of all Japan sailors.
