Welcome to Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones). I look forward to sharing this journey with you. Start with OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes to Your Profile) and Arrival and What Happens at RTC and read 1 or 2 pages a day and then go back to them as you need the info.

"A" School is in Fort Jackson, SC. After that, she will most likely go to Camp Lejeune, NC for additional training. You may also want to check out Camp Lejeune and FMTB-East Moms, Families and Friends at that time.

Your Sailor will most likely fly out to "A" School the day after PIR. Plan to leave late Saturday or on Sunday. See PIR Day and Liberty during PIR Weekend to help you know how to plan your weekend. 

Since you have a recruit at RTC, then you can change "Thinking about joining" above to “Enlisted”or “At Boot Camp now.” Either is appropriate, but if you make the change to “Enlisted” now, then you will not have to change it again. 

You can make that change when you make change 3 below.

Also consider change 5.
