Hi Daun!  Sure, I'd like that!  My SR left MEPS on 3 Sep, just 1 week prior to yours!  I live on the NW side...glad we're in the same city! :-) I'm sending you a Friend Request so we can exchange contact info via Private Mail (PM)!

Daun ~ You are so right!  It's so very different when the military member is our baby versus parent, hubby, sibling, etc.  The good thing is that we parents have such wonderful support and shared understanding here on this website.  It's especially Great that we're in the same city and, as you mentioned, support each other locally.

I got a little busy this evening, but I'll send you a text tomorrow with my contact info!  I don't want to call before know a good time-of-day for you.  I'll be available for a chat tomorrow, so feel free to call, text, or email me through the contact info I send over to you!

Looking forward to sharing & keeping each other uplifted as we pray for & encourage our Sweetie Pie SRs :-)

Hang in there & have a restful night's sleep.  ~  Dee

Join Ship 5 Moms(Formerly Ship 17) and see FAQ about SEPS and http://www.bootcamp.navy.mil/ship5/index.asp for more information on SEPS. Be sure to have your recruit sign paperwork with legal so that they will be able to discuss the situation with you if your recruit wants that to happen.
