When I heard “Navy,” I...
needed to learn more about it, was proud and encouraged it, had concerns or fears
The Navy offers opportunities that...
My son won’t get in our small town. He is going to have the opportunity to meet so many new people and get training that will help him obtain employment if he ever decided to leave the navy.
Our Navy experience so far...
has presented us with many questions.

Arrival and What Happens at RTC within Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) will let you know what is happening and what to expect.

Be sure to join your PIR group once you get The Form Letter, which now arrives 9 to 14 business days after the recruit's arrival at RTC in most cases. Let me know when you know what division your recruit is in. I will have more info for you.

I see your recruit has a contract for one of the Seabee ratings.

Your Sailor will most likely fly out to "A" School the day after PIR. Plan to leave late Saturday or on Sunday. See PIR Day and Liberty during PIR Weekend to help you know how to plan your weekend.

Which of the Seabee ratings (BU, CE, CM, EA, EO, SW, or UT) does your recruit have a contract for? I have more info for you.

SharonW..d, I see you have changed your Username so that it no longer contains your full name. You also need to change the URL (address) to this page. Make change 2 at the bottom of OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes to Your Profile) (clickable link) to take care of that. (If you are using a Smart phone, you will need to switch to Desktop View to make this change.)

Also make change 3 while you are there so that this page is no longer open to EVERYONE (Anyone) with access to the web.

There may be other changes you need to make as well, so read and consider each of the changes.
