A little about me:
I live in Utah and work as a social worker. I love camping and spending time with my family, when I'm not at work. I have one son, the one joining the Navy, and am so proud of him. He is my world and I'm adjusting to the thought of him not being around.

Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy career?
Waiting to leave for Boot Camp
When I heard “Navy,” I...
was proud and encouraged it
The Navy offers opportunities that...
I can't offer to my son (travel, education, and opportunities).
Our Navy experience so far...
has been positive and maturing., is challenging and exciting., has presented us with many questions., is a work in progress!

Hello there!  My son left on 6/19 and I believe your son was also leaving the same day.  Just wanted to see how you're holding up and what you've heard/received from him.  So far I can check off the scripted call and the Kid In a Box!  Waiting patiently for the form letter so I can see what division he is in and where I can send letters to!!!

He did tell me in one of his phone calls before he got to BC that he was going to be in a 900 division because of playing musical instruments.  Not sure if that definitely happened or not, but I thought that was kind of exciting for him since he loves music too!

I hope you're surviving and holding up okay!  Have a great day!

What division is your recruit in?

Since you have a recruit at RTC, then you can change "Waiting to leave for Boot Camp" above to “Enlisted” or “At Boot Camp now.” Either is appropriate, but if you make the change to “Enlisted” now, then you will not have to change it again.

You can make that change when you make the changes below.
