A little about me:
I am originally from NY and I have worked with children with special needs my whole life. My son Christian has joined the Navy this month and he is such a courageous young man. I am very proud of him. He has a brother who is a year younger than him named Steven and it was so much fun raising them together. They both bring so much joy to my life. They and their dad Jeff are the heart of my life.

Was proud and encouraged it
The Navy offers opportunities that...
I believe it gave my son the confidence that he needs to believe in himself. When he started considering the Navy as a career he was about 208 lbs and he worked really hard every day to lose the weight to enlist. He is now 150 lbs and feels really good about himself. The recruiter was very instrumental in helping encourage Christian to do his best and to push himself to do even better.Christian is at Bootcamp right now and I miss him so much but he is happier than I've ever seen him. Thanks to the US Navy.

Hi :-)  Sorry that I haven't replied...I am not really sure how this website works yet!  My daughter, Kaity, left for bootcamp on Nov 16th.  She will graduate on Jan 27th.  When will your son graduate?  This was a tough Christmas without her!  I'm used to my daughter being gone during the school year while she was in college, but it's difficult not being able to talk to her or email hear about what she is experiencing.  Your son sounds like a hard working guy that will go for it when he wants something!  His weight loss is inspiring!  WOW!  Nicely done!  Merry Christmas!
