Get a head start during boot camp by joining groups for, and learning about, your Sailor's occupational specialty and "A" School; and later your Sailor's duty station and/or Navy ship and homeport. You can also join groups for your own state, region or home town and interests from getting ready for deployment to care package ideas!

NucMomTami - Welcome to both the BC Mom and Loved Ones group and to the Nuke Moms group. My son was a Nuke (ETN2) and finished his enlistment period this summer. I stick around this site and these two groups as well as a few others on this site to help answer questions and offer encouragement. I am glad that you found the Comment Wall area on the BC Mom group. Those are the best places in each group to post comments and ask questions. Nuke School Charleston is not very active, most people post on the Nuke Moms group page.

We are here to get you through the “Great Silence” of the next 4 weeks (ish) and the 10 weeks of BC (ish). You will come to learn that No News Is GOOD News and everything is Needs of the Navy. You life will be Hurry Up and Wait and it’s ok to make plans but they are subject to change until after they have happened so it’s best to embrace the Motto: Semper Gumby!! (Always Flexible!!)
