Good Morning Chrissie336 - I am glad to see that you have joined the BC Mom group and the Nuke Mom group. The easiest way to get there is to just click on the links to the left of the comments here. You want to go to those groups and scroll down and find the comment wall on those pages and come say hello. The more you post, the more we will reply!
Be sure to let us know how close your loved one is to leaving for BC and if you have any questions about that as well. Also, just FYI, start getting in the habit of not posting specific dates or times. You can be general (next week, in a few days, next month), it is good practice for when they are out in the fleet. OPSEC/ PERSEC
Welcome!! Please read my blog to give you an idea of what the first few weeks may look like.. Welcome to the Navy... Everything will be ok! The First part is some things to do before your SR leaves IF you Can, It’s NOT ESSENTIAL! Up and to the Left is a link to all the Navy Lingo! It is titled Navy Speak and you can find ithere. We are here to get you through the “Great Silence” of the next 4 weeks (ish) and the 10 weeks of BC (ish). You will come to learn that No News Is GOOD News and everything is Needs of the Navy. You life will be Hurry Up and Wait and it’s ok to make plans but they are subject to change until after they have happened so it’s best to embrace the Motto: Semper Gumby!! (Always Flexible!!)
