    Birdie'sMom-- as far as being in holding awaiting orders... That's just part of the Hurry up and Wait that is normal Navy life.  There are several things you learn in the Navy... No News is Good News, Semper Gumby and Hurry Up and Wait!  You have a bunch of really good information but I wanted to answer your question.
