pw1406 - Welcome to the BC Mom and Loved Ones group - we are glad you found this site and have joined the BC group. When you click on the link to the left here and go to our group, be sure to scroll down the page past a lot of helpful information (you can come back to it later), past the discussions and then you will find the Comment Wall. This is the best place to post your hellos, ask your questions and where we have our daily chatter.
This is your training ground, so be sure to ask any questions that you have.
pw1406 - I see you have also joined the Nuke Mom page. B'sNukeMom usually does the welcomes in that group, on the group page, but I thought I would say hello as well for that group. My son just recently finished up his 6 years enlistment as a Nuke. I am sending you a friend request. Please don't hesitate to reach out and ask me anything about the Nuke program that you are not sure if you want to post in the public group page. Otherwise, for general questions, be sure to post those on the group pages as more members will be likely to reply to you. - Unless it is a holiday! or weekend sometimes. :-)
Welcome!! Please read my blog to give you an idea of what the first few weeks may look like.. Welcome to the Navy... Everything will be ok! The First part is some things to do before your SR leaves IF you Can, It’s NOT ESSENTIAL! Up and to the Left is a link to all the Navy Lingo! It is titled Navy Speak and you can find it here. We are here to get you through the “Great Silence” of the next 4 weeks (ish) and the 10 weeks of BC (ish). You will come to learn that No News Is GOOD News and everything is Needs of the Navy. You life will be Hurry Up and Wait and it’s ok to make plans but they are subject to change until after they have happened so it’s best to embrace the Motto: Semper Gumby!! (Always Flexible!!)
