Amouse - Welcome Aboard - I am one of the moms that helps out on the BC Mom and Loved Ones group. I saw that you were online and thought I would stop by and say hello. My son has been in for 5 years now. Last weekend was our PIR anniversary.

I encourage you to come join us in the Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) - Navy For Moms (ning.com) group here. To join, click on the link and then there should be a join button in the upper right corner of your screen. This site is easier to view and manuever, in my opinion on a computer. If you are on a mobile device we recommend that you put it into desktop mode.

Once you have joined, then you will be able to post comments on the group page. There is a lot of information on our page, but be sure to scroll down past that information, past the discussions, and then you will see the Comment Wall area. That is the best place to post your questions, come at least say hello and how long your loved one has been at BC. It is our daily chatter spot.

Do not hesitate to reach out. If you click on someone's icon, it will take you to their profile page and you can post a comment there, or you may also send them a friend request.

Amouse - You are welcome!! And I see that you have joined the Nuke Moms group as well.

I have limited time this weekend on the site but be sure to check out my discussion on the BC Mom Group page, re: what your PIR weekend might look like for those flying out of GL and on the Nuke Mom Discussion - A School schedule that my son helped me put together when he was there.

Welcome!! Please read my blog to give you an idea of what the first few weeks may look like.. Welcome to the Navy... Everything will be ok!  The First part is some things to do before your SR leaves IF you Can, It’s NOT ESSENTIAL! Up and to the Left is a link to all the Navy Lingo! It is titled Navy Speak and you can find it here. We are here to get you through the “Great Silence” of the next 4 weeks (ish) and the 10 weeks of BC (ish). You will come to learn that No News Is GOOD News and everything is Needs of the Navy. You life will be Hurry Up and Wait and it’s ok to make plans but they are subject to change until after they have happened so it’s best to embrace the Motto: Semper Gumby!! (Always Flexible!!)
