I did finally get a call and a letter this week! She sounded great and said that things are going well- she did get a flu bug over last weekend but got over it fast thank goodness! Any further word from your daughter? :) are you going out for graduation? Where are you staying??

Use a small box to mail the retainers or put them in a small box in a bubble envelope. Don't write the contents on the outside of the package in that case. Take care and blessings to you and yours.

I thank you for the reply- I think I'm figuring it out. No no call yet :( I was hoping for a letter at least but nothing has come in the mail. Have you received any letters? I spoke to her recruiter this morning and he was a little surprised that I had not heard from her which of course made me even more anxious :( I'm going to check out the FTC web page to get some more info on the graduation and what days what happens and how much time they will have etc, my Devon's dad will be going out with his wife too so it will be interesting to see how this goes. Ugh thank you
Again for the message- I would like to stay in contact and maybe email if that's easier? I can be reached at krpedm94@gmail.com. Anytime! Thank you again!

Yes I recd the form letter with a handwritten note on the back from her saying that I had the opportunity to see her for one day on Thanksgiving- ugh broke my heart that I had to tell her I could not afford to fly out there on thanksgiving then again three weeks later for graduation :( I haven't rec a call or a letter from her yet- I'm trying to be patient but now I'm reading that others from the same division are receiving calls- hoping to get one too!

Good Morning. :0)
I'm doing better but like you, I have random moments. (I don't like those moments) It's a little better now that I can write. I don't know if he'll write back ... Lol
Did you go to the Facebook page US Navy Recruit Command? When our kids help with the other PIRs in November maybe there'll be a picture posted. Did you read that?

The Page, 800 and 900 Divisions, within Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) will be of interest to you since you have a recruit in a performing division. I believe that Division 904 is Sticks/Flags. PIR will be 12/06/2013. Keep checking PIR 12/06/2013 TG 04 and join when it is up.

Since your SR has a contract for Hospital Corpsman (HM), sometime between now and the end of BC, join HM (Hospital Corpsman) A School in San Antonio and check out Basic Medical Technician Corpsman Program Facebook Page. The Rating Information Card for HM can be found at https://www.cool.navy.mil/enlisted/rating_info_cards/hm.pdf; it indicates 19 weeks, but "A" School is 14 weeks after classing up. Your Sailor will most likely fly out to "A" School the day after PIR. See PIR Day and Liberty During PIR Weekend to help you know how to plan your weekend.

Welcome to Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones). I look forward to sharing this journey with you. Be sure to check out the Pages (found under the pictures of the Members) for information on what to expect and to help you prepare for PIR. What is your SR's rating (job/specialty) going to be? There are groups for most ratings and/or "A" Schools and knowing that will help you to better plan for PIR weekend. Take care and blessings to you and yours.
