Hello: My son was sent to Ship 5 yesterday. He was 9 days from PIR. I am so confused and heartbroken. Apparently he has passed everything including his final PFA. After his PFA his back was hurting. They are now telling him that he has to have back surgery and can re-enlist in 1 yr. I do not understand at all. Can he ask for a 2nd opinion while he is in Ship 5? How often are diagnosis wrong?
