All Hands Magazine's mini-documentary series "Making a Sailor": These six videos follow four recruits through Boot Camp in the spring of 2018 who were assigned to DIV 229, an integrated division, which had PIR on 05/25/2018.
"Sandy - our son said that they are now on a completely different side of the Base and are not allowed to go back to RTC area. I am sure that their new commanders will be able to answer any questions."
"astc - our son is an FC. I asked him to double-triple confirm about Christmas time off as well as zero time at TG. He said he'll find out all about it this week back at GL. Either way, I think he still has to submit formal request for time-off.…"
"Sandy: Not sure if this will help, but our son just graduated Nov 8th. He said they won't actually start A school until January, and that he'll have 10 days off at Christmas (but no time off Thanksgiving - too soon).
What will they…"

Nice. My son called only for getting some information about my family. I wish he can call me and just tell me how he is doing...... I can imagine my son didn’t spend the allowance and put it in saving account. LOL.
Hi, my son’s PIR is also 11/1. I haven’t heard anything from him besides the form letter. Have you got any from your son yet?
I am wondering how my son is doing. This site is very helpful but also I am wondering about my son whenever I see someone’s comments saying “ my son failed test” etc. I wish I can call him and talk to him...... I just keep writing letters to him....
We ask that our membersnot use a last name or email address in their Username - even if it differs from their Sailor's - so please head to “Settings” on the main page right away to set your new Username (be creative!) and add a profile image (no last names visible) to complete your Profile. Then - and this is important! - read these Community Guidelines and this Operations Security (OPSEC) Checklist, for the safety and privacy of all our Sailors.
Then jump right in! Browse around the site and check out the groups and the information in their Discussion Forums.
Get a head start during boot camp by joining groups for, and learning about, your Sailor's occupational specialty and "A" School; and later your Sailor's duty station and/or Navy ship and homeport. You can also join groups for your own state, region or home town and interests from getting ready for deployment to care package ideas.
Please say Hi when you join a group, and feel free to ask any and all questions - everyone was new once, and there is no "dumb" question.
This site was created by the U.S. Navy just for you. We look forward to getting to know you and your Sailor.
Welcome to the NAVY family - we're so glad you're here!!
