waiting for FORM letter

While waiting for my FORM letter, I learned not to not watch the calendar so much and just have a "little" more patience.  Trusting God for everything!  Thankful in all things!

still no "form" letter, still no call

I am im-patiently waiting for the "form" letter, and still have not received a call from my new recruit.  She has been at Boot Camp since February 16.  I am hoping to get something in the mail today.  This waiting is no bueno for this momma!  I know she is surely covered with daily prayers, but, I can't help myself.  I know she is doing great things!  I know this "waiting" is also something we all will have to get used to.  Lord help us!  Give us peace and understanding!

Something warm to share, encouragment and hope through these last few weeks of SR BT (bootcamp finals)

Good morning Navy family! Wanted to share with you all what's been on my heart. As I'm sure you too can relate and we approach these final weeks and BS21. :)

I remember the exact moment we found out that my baby sister (Division 120)signed up to become a US Sailor. A FLOOD of emotions came over me. For a second I thought I was dying because HER whole life flashed before my eyes slamming down on my tear gates. I saw this little blonde ringlets curly headed green eye innocent beauty,… Continue

Anxious

My daughter leaves on March 22nd for boot camp! I'm getting so nervous and anxious about her departure! I'm trying to keep her and myself calm abut it but it's hard! I can't imagine when the 22nd comes. I wonder will I be able to "see her off"!

How do I get my son address?

Hello Everyone,

My son left last Wednesday, February 10th. I received his things yesterday, but did not receive his return address. Is there a way to get his address or do I have to wait to hear from him?

Thank you.

PIR Ceremony

Got a question for the mom's that have been to the BC ceremony. How quiet is the ceremony? I have a 3 year old and i would love to go to my son's ceremony but i'm afraid she is going to be a little too noisy depending on how long the ceremony lasts, and if we can't attend is there some place we can watch it or be there otherwise we'll have to wait at the hotel in which i'm not wanting to do. Also, i've seen some pictures of the ceremony and wondered what the dress code is if any. Son…

Need an idea

Need a quilting idea for my brother-n-law who will be retiring from the navy as master chief, 30 years service.  I thought about putting pics of the ships he has served on but I'm open for any ideas. I have 2 years to get this together, so send any ideas my way.

Thanks for any help.

PIR 02/05/2016 06/091- Still no word.

Haven't heard from my recruit yet. He was so afraid of not making time on the running part of the test. I saw in one of the posts that 7 were pushed back. I haven't received a call stating he failed either, but thinking he may have been one of those 7. If by chance he doesn't get to graduate, will he get weekend liberty to visit with family? Thanks.
