My son left for Boot Camp 2-19-19

I received his scripted call at 2033 Cali time.  His "Kid Box" came in exactly 1 week later. I am now waiting on his letter that he said would follow in about a week after the box. I am super excited for him as I know this is something he has always wanted to do. I am waiting to find out his PIR date so I can start looking into arrangements and our options. Trying to find out as much as I can on Graduation. I am reading everything and loving this site! Thank you so much!!!! :)

I am so happy that I was home today !!! She was able to make her 3 week call!!! I almost missed it. Lucky for me the boss was over visiting so being late was OK. LOL. It was so good to hear her voice. What was even better was to hear her say things were going good and she was enjoying it. She has come so far. I am so happy for her and VERY proud !!!! Now to plan this trip to PIR.

BootCamp

I am thankful for finding this website. My son started his boot camp on 2/11/19. I got the call when he arrived and received his box of personal items but nothing more. How long until I receive a letter with his mailing address? Thanks

Today !

Picked up the mail today and today I received the form letter! Think her box came in today too. Now I can breathe a little easier. I know she still has a ways to go, but being able to write her makes it all a little easier. Knowing she made the first run is a weight off me. So now I can start looking at planning the trip for PIR. As soon as I get the form letter filled out.

New member

I am thankful for finding this website. Our only child, my son started his boot camp on 1/29 and today  marks 2 weeks. It has been a long two weeks and I have not received any communication yet. I am hoping this week we will get a letter. Is there a specific day they are allowed to make their calls.  I got the call when he arrived and received his box of personal items but nothing more.  Thanks

Waiting....again....

So she is back at boot camp! She arrived on Friday (weather held them up). So just waiting patiently to not hear anything until we get the form letter. Hoping all goes well for her this time. I think she will be a little more confident this time. She has already been through that first week once, she KNOWS she can do the run with time to spare. Her confidence should be better this time around at least. So now I will wait......
