My Sailor

My sailor <3

To touch his face once again

My hands tremble at the thought

To hold his hand once again

My palms being to sweat

To kiss his lips once again

My lips quiver and part

To hear his sweet voice once again

My ears being to ring

To feel his heart beat once again

My heart races and flutters

To be wrapped up in his arms of love once again

My body fills…

Well I was wrong about the Longest Week

Last week, the area was hit by miserable ice, and AK stands for Alaska not Arkansas, some folks get that confused. So the week that my girl left was actually not the longest week, last week was because I was waiting for the mail to be able to run. I couldn't get out of my own driveway. The University, schools, and local area businesses were closed. We are use to having 30 below in November not 30 above. It reached 35 above at my house, the ice came off the roof with horrendous noise, and the… Continue

The time is drawing near.

The time is flying by, but we spent Thanksgiving with both my boys, wanted to make sure my daughter and I spent time with them before they leave for boot camp jan. I am going to miss my boys so so much I can't describe what I am already feeling. I know I won't hug one good bye before the other. Both will be hugged at the same time. : )

Graduation nearing Dec 17th - Any Suggestions

We are staying in Chicago the whole weekend with our sailor, however she will be require to stay on base for 5 hours after the graduation ceremony. Any suggestions if there is stuff to do there on base or near the base? Or we should return to the hotel & wait for her there? Take train to Great Lakes or rent car, they say driving is awful if one doesn't know their way around in town?

Care packages on their way!

Since our son joined the Navy, as a family, we decided to donate all the money we would have spent on Christmas gifts and bought supplies for the troops. I also sent out an e-mail asking friends and family for donations of things the troops really need. The outcome was amazing! We packed up three big boxes, included a letter, and sent them out. That feeling alone of giving back was far greater than any gift we could receive. I wish we would have done this long ago, but in this case, better…

Blessed all the VFW's that sponsor the Thanksgiving Day Food

Our Thanksgiving Day was fantastic as we got a surprised call from our granddaugther, she sounded & is doing great. It really made our holiday as an exceptional blessed day. She was with a group of recruits that were bused to a nearby VFW for a day of relaxing, cell phone access, TV, video games & great food. Thanks to all the VFW that sponsor the special holiday food for our recruits & may God blessed them & their…

BRAND NEW NAVY MOMS~anyones kids leave on Nov. 24th 2010?????

Hello, Anyone who kids just left for Bootcamp? I have been crying every day since. I am so emotional and didn't think I would be seeing that I and her Father were both in the Navy and we both know what to expect. I think it is even worse in a why cause we both know it was no "Cake Walk". She said she wouldn't be able to call for another 3 weeks. Is that right?
