It's been 25 days... I've received two letters but still no phone call.... He sounded much better in his second letter than his first... I expected that he would hate it at first, but then get accustomed to it and be ok... He said my letters help him so much!! Letter

Well, I received a text from my sons girlfriend...she received a letter today from my son. He said he hates it there and he misses everyone bad. I'm sure I will have a letter at home...I know it's not easy for them and that he will hate it. I just know I'm going to need a box of tissues tonight... :(

Week one over...

Well one week has passed since I sent my son off to the Navy. It's been a week of ups and downs. I received his box yesterday but no other information as of yet. The hardest part is not hearing his voice or seeing his smile... I just try to remain positive, knowing in 7 weeks I will be the proud mother of a sailor!!

My son arrived to RTC on 3/27/13

My only son left on 3/27/13 for boot camp in Great Lakes. It has been the hardest week ever!! I just received his address from his recruiter. He's on ship 12 USS Triton Division 199I... Anyone else??? His tentative graduation is may 24, 2013. This is a first for me so any advice is helpful!!

Thanks!!
Paula
