John and Yvonne's Blog – January 2022 Archive (5)

Update on Yvonne Sunday 1/30

Please pray for Yvonne. She had a really good day today. She didn't have hardly any pain. Then physical therapy came and got her up and worked her pretty good! She got pale so they checked her blood pressure. It dropped a lot. And now she can hardly stay awake. The nurse came in when I called her, and said she could tell she was fine. She also said that I was probably worrying Yvonne. So please pray for me too! The physical therapists did say her BP should not drop like that. Anyway,…

Please continue praying for Yvonne

Please continue to pray for Yvonne. She walked down to the end of the hall this afternoon for physical therapy. There are a number of frustrating issues that we are not happy with concerning the personal care she is getting at Bayside. I hope we can get them resolved. Please pray for us. Pray for strength for Yvonne to improve. Anyway, I've got to go get some sleep. Thank you for your prayers.

So I figured I would go later at 5:00. I talked with Yvonne and she told me to…

Update on Yvonne's Surgery

I am so sorry that I have not updated this blog for you all. I've been trying to update everyone who has been praying for her, but I just completely forgot you guys. I am so sorry!!! Thank you for your prayers.

Yvonne had her surgery on the 18th. It was supposed to be an 8 hour surgery but turned out to be almost 13 hours! It actually took her until the afternoon of the 20th before she was awake enough from the anesthesia to understand that she had the surgery and that she was not in…

Update on prayer request for Yvonne 010622

Yvonne got her surgery date this afternoon. It is scheduled for January 18th. The doctor said it would be an 8 hour surgery. She'll probably be in the hospital for several days afterward. Between now and then we'll be going to several pre-op appointments with various doctors.
