Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Back To Basics

As many of you are already aware, the nastiness generated on Scuttlebutt and other areas of the site has come to a close. Scuttlebutt is taking a much-deserved Time Out – perhaps indefinitely. I’ve sent PMs to several members. Personal attacks will not be tolerated and members will be banned if behavior is not corrected. Think before you post. If you can't respond in a civil manner to something, consider walking away.

Let’s move forward and remember why you joined the… Continue

N4M - Running Slooooowww

As many of you have probably noticed by now... our site has been running incredibly slow. The problems began last night and have seemed to grow progressively worse through the day. Spammers - Security Update!

A follow up to my first Blog about spammers as the issue seems to have resurfaced...

I want to begin by apologizing for any uneasiness the spammers on this site may have caused. I have been banning them as soon as I spot them or am alerted to them. Some of them clearly have profiles that imply that they are here for the wrong reasons - others do not and go about spamming through PM's etc. - which is where your help is vital. To find out how to best alert me to a spammer, please see… Continue

New Poll Video - Chief Vanderwall Discusses A/C School!

Hi Everyone!

I am excited to announce that we have a new web video for you! As promised, this one is on the topic of A/C School. We hope this will start to answer some of the questions you may have about the next step in your Sailors’ career following Boot Camp.

Keeping The Peace

As many of you are aware, there has been some negative energy on this site, mostly rooted in our political forums, that have escalated into blogs and individual pages.

Earlier this week I froze the conversations on a few of the boards. This was partially to allow me to go back and see how things progressed but also to give some of you a chance to take a step back and take a breather. You’ll notice that I have gone in and deleted a great deal of the comments that were off subject, not… Continue
