Say Hello To Your Two New N4M Admins!

Hello everyone!

It's been a little over a year since I took over as admin of this community. Hard to believe we had less than 9,000 members then - we have over three times that amount today!

I've had a wonderful experience, but alas, this my last day as your admin. I'll be moving on to new responsibilities, but I'm leaving the community in the hands of two capable ladies - Colleen and Elizabeth.

They've been training with me over the past few weeks and starting… Continue

If you are having issues accessing PM's, Blogs, or any other area of the site - you're not alone. Ning is aware of the problem as it has been occurring across many of their other social networks all morning. Please hold tight until they can get this resolved. I sent a broadcast message this morning and will send another once I receive word that everything is back to normal. In the meantime, I apologize if I am not responding to your reports and notes as the problem is also affecting my ability… Continue

Comment Order On Blogs Reversed

Due to popular demand, I've switch the order of comments on Blogs back to the old setting. Comments will now appear in chronological order - so you can read them in the order they were posted (much easier).

Still working on the page number issue - I think it's obvious from all the feedback I've received that everyone prefers the old format much better (myself included). Let's keep our fingers crossed that Ning listens to us!

Ning Gift Store Application To Be Removed

A few weeks ago I posted a blog about the Gift Store Application potentially being removed. After being reviewed by the Navy, a decision has been made to move forward with removal.

The Navy can't accept money - nor were they- but they didn't want you to believe they were somehow making money off of N4M members. As we currently can't chose to only offer free gifts or control the cost of… Continue

Gift Store May Be Removed

Hello everyone!

Earlier this week Ning released the Gift Store application on all of its networks, including ours. There is a chance that this application will be removed within the next week. Navy’s JAG Corps is looking into whether or not we can have this functionality on the site due to the costs associated to our members. If the decision is made to remove this application, all current gifts will be removed from the site including those that have already been purchased. Keep this… Continue
