This is my first post. My son left for BC Aug 14th. He was in processing a week longer than normal because he was put in a 900 division that needed to be filled up. He has absolutely loved boot camp and all of his letters have been so upbeat and positive. It has really helped me stay positive and not dwell on missing him so much. He started week 4 on Monday, but we got a call from him on Tuesday. Apparently he had broken his pinky finger 10 days earlier. It was put in a splint, but when he went back for a check up I guess it wasn't healed enough. So now he has been told he is being set back 2-4 weeks. He was super bummed when he called. He was looking forward to all the hands on stuff that was getting ready to start and every letter talked about how much he was looking forward to performing in the PIRs. I am just worried about my boy and so dang mad about the stupid pinky because if he were home we would just tape that thing up and keep on going!
