You are welcome!! I see that you joined the BC Mom group. Be sure to post in the comment section and ask if anyone has hotel recommendations. Also, you should receive a brochure from RTC when you receive your form letter with the address that has a list of some suggested lodging in the area.

Wingate by Wyndham was a decent hotel. Room was clean and staff were nice. Located right by the Gurnee Mills mall. Visited our sailor who has been gone since March, he was able to get a CHIT so we had him Friday & Saturday overnight and Sunday until 9 p.m.. Big Ed's BBQ in Waukegan was busy but definitely worth the wait! We managed to do the Escape Room, see a movie and sightsee in Chicago. If you go downtown Chicago, be prepared to pay a lot for parking and food. Beautiful buildings and lots of shopping if you are into that. Visit was fun but leaving our sailor behind had my "allergies" kicking.

GAMOM - Thanks for sharing your hotel information with AMPD. Would you mind posting this over in the main BC Mom group page in the comment area. It would be helpful to some of our new members who are planning for their PIR as well.
