Welcome Patricia,

We have been where you are so we do understand. It does seem like a very long time with no contact. It will e an emotional roller coaster with some days being better than others. Hang on though. No news is good news. The recruits are extremely homesick and may sound a little down when you finally get the chance to talk to them. It will get better though. They are very busy.

In about a week, you will get their box of belongs/cellphone. In a few more days, you will receive a form letter with lots of information involving graduation and it will have their correct mailing address. You can start to write letters and send them although they won't have much time to respond, they are only allowed to write on Sunday and the mail goes out on Monday. You can sign up for Informed Delivery with the USPS and you will know when their letters are coming. It's free through the post office. Go to usps.com and search for Informed Delivery. Write often it helps them make it through. I sent a page in each letter of scriptures and inspirational quotes. Just feel free to ask us anything, prayer requests and all. We're here for you! It will go fast!!
