Hi Rebecca, so sorry for not getting back to you sooner. It's was my first week back to work after 2 weeks of vacation. Believe me this was a long week. I'm sorry but this weekend doesn't work, family functions both on Sat and Sun. Wondering if next Sat the 21st works around 3:00 for coffee? There's another mom that would also like to met up with us, just let me know. Have a great weekend, can't wait to met you and hear all about your sailor.

Hi Rebecca, I got home Monday night. So now it's the adjustment time to not being around Jennifer. It's sucks, I miss her so much. I wanted to talk to her yesterday, she was grumpy and I ended up hang up on her. Then I text her, that she doesn't have to be rude and to call me when we can have a pleasant conversation. She's adjusting too. It was amazing to see that carrier come in, it's huge. I have so much to tell you. So we have to meet soon for coffee or even maybe lunch. This weekend is booked. Maybe in a few weeks. Take care, how is your son doing?

Hi Rebecca, your son is very handsome. Glad to see some pictures. I leave late Monday the 26th, flight leaves SFO at 10:00 pm. I'm at work right now, I only have 1 more hr left, then I'm on vacation for 2 & half weeks. Yahoo, need to get the clothes ready and pack. Make sure the camera is charged. I can't wait.
How are you doing?

TGIF Rebecca, dang you were awake at 1 am! Yes, I'm so excited. Going to start getting the clothes together and make her welcome home sign. I want it to be a hawaiian theme and couldn't find any thing on the internet. Plus I have to travel with it. Her ship just had a port leave in Turkey, she said she had fun.
Today is my Flex day off, yay another 3 day weekend. I've been working my flex days for the past several months for the extra $, to help pay for my trip.
How are you and your son? Are you up for coffee next Sat, the 17th? I will check with Jor-Jean too. Have a good weekend.

Hi Rebecca, how are you? and your son? Have you been able to talk to him more now that he's in A School? This last week has been so busy for me, in a way it's a blessing, so I don't miss Jennifer so much. I watched 2 of my 7 grandbabies in Windsor last night, it was fun. They just got a 8 wk Boxer, she's a cutie.
Jennifer is hoping to be in CA in Nov or Dec. Her ship has been deployed since Jan 2nd. She's doing better, just wants to come home. Enjoy your weekend. Going to try to met up with another N4M for coffee, will keep you posted to see if you can join us.

Rebecca, glad you had a good visit. I know it's hard to leave them. Jennifer was in port the last 4 days, got a call and a few e-mails. She's ready to come home, she said that she's tired of the drama on the ship. Told her there's drama thru out life.
Have a good weekend

Hi Rebecca, Sounds good about meeting for coffee after you get back from PIR. I can't wait to hear how everything went. How exciting, On the days afterPIR, when you pick him up at the base, go early so you can hear them marching down to the parking lot from their barracks. They will be sing, it's so awesome. I cried. I remember back to Jennifer's. July 8th, she will be in the Navy for 1 year. Wow. I miss her so much, can't wait for her Homecoming. Have a good weekend and be safe.

Absolutely!!! Be sure to ask each place you call for a discount for the graduation. I found a number of hotels with the discounted rate before I finally settled on the one where we'll be. Several have already sold out of the discount rooms, so keep looking! I think you will also find, if the discounted rooms are all sold, that booking online will be cheaper than calling directly...plus, if you have something like AAA, or NRA, etc., there are reductions in the rates, too. We're paying $89 a night for a suite.

Hey Rebecca! Nope, we're actually staying at the SpringHill Suites, but the Ramada throws the Meet-N-Greet for all the families no matter where they are staying. Pretty wonderful, eh?

Rebecca, evidently, the Ramada Inn does this each Thursday evening, free of charge, for all the families and friends who come to a PIR. It's from 6:30 - 8:30 PM, and I can't remember what's actually served...seems I heard hot finger foods and drinks, but I'm not sure! It will be the place where we all can finally meet each other after all this time on this site! I hope you and your family will be able to be there, too! We're timing our travel to be there. :-) Have a lovely week-end!

Hi Rebecca, just checking in on you. How are you? Do you know your son's PIR date and has a group been started for that PIR date? I've been trying to find a great website that helped me when Jennifer was in BC and as soon as I find it I will forward it to you. Have a great weekend, it's suppose to be beautiful Take Care.
