OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I saw your post on the Nuke Moms page about sailors being disciplined for getting tattoos. If you have any other specific information or documentation that you could send to me, I would appreciate it. I help out a lot on the BC Mom group and there as been some recent discussion of new sailors getting tattoos and I would like to have more than just 3rd party before I share or post over there, so I don't start any panic. Thanks!!

CSW...

I'm Admin for the "Sub Moms" group and I saw your comment about questions being a sore subject.  I hope no one in our group gave you grief about asking questions!  I read all the comments posted, but may have missed a couple.  I welcome ANY questions (none are too dumb!) on our page and you're always welcomed to ask me directly with a comment on my personal page.  It's been my experience that "Sub Moms" is a congenial group (no arguing or ugliness in 13 years!), but that experience may not be the same for everyone.

Please reach out if you have anything you'd like to discuss :)

Thanks... And have a great Navy day!   Kaye
