I stumbled on a post of yours that did not appear to be answered.  Since I am not a member of that group, I will answe here.  SN PACT (not FACT) is Seaman (SN)Professional Apprenticeship Career Track (PACT), so yes, she is undesignated.  http://www.cnrc.navy.mil/Graphic-Elements/Rating-Factsheets/SN-Professional-Apprenticeship-Career-Track.pdf may help.

Hi there...thanks for sending me the friend request.  Haven't figured out how to do too much on this website yet.  I saw one of your posts the other day that your daughter was leaving the same day as mine.  Can't believe its here already...seemed so far away when she first started DEP.

Chinadoll,

Wow - can't believe the time is here now!!!  I'm sure you feel like it was yesterday that she went off to MEPS.  I'm in a similar boat with you - my daughter, Jenn is reporting to OCS in two weeks now!!!  When she was accepted I felt like we had a lllooooonnnnngggg time before she'd be leaving but now - - - here it is!!  I'm going through that sadness also!!  Come talk to us on the Daughters 2 group - - - I know the ladies will help you get through these long weeks of no communication from your girl!!!

Hi Marissa, I really enjoyed reading your profile & loved all the pics. Coming from California explains what appears to be a "49er"Jersey on your husband!  We raised our family up in South Jersey, so we are all "Philly" fans. Our oldest son is based out in San Diego aboard the USS San Francisco sub. He is a Nuke,(nuclear engineer tech.) Please tell your daughter who is leaving next week, we will keep her in our prayers for a smooth transition, & help "You" get through this!!!

China,

Thank you for your kind words.  Funny about the Mustang - -  when I was shopping for my car back in '02, it was a toss-up between the Sebring, the Mustang, and a Mitsubishi Spyder - all convertibles.  Since I had twin girls I wanted one with the most room in the back seat and that's how I ended up with the Sebring!!!  But my son owns a Mustang and loves it!!  My girls are doing well - - the one who enlisted right out of high school is now out!!  Looking for a civilian job now - still in WA tho :(  but that is where her husband is still stationed.  Her sister is finishing her last year of college and then heads off to OCS to become an officer.  She is working on getting her private pilot's license and keep up with all her classes.  She is somewhat of an overachiever!!!!

Chinadoll,

That is great news that you will be able to go to a meet and greet!!!  I remember my first one - it was cool and made some contacts I still keep in touch with today!!!  Then maybe you can find some moms closer to you that you can get together with more often!!!

I'm doing ok - had some bad events last week  - my favorite toy - my convertible I got when we lived in GA just up and died!!!!  Catastrophic engine failure.  Had to have it towed away and scraped!!  It had alot of really good memories of trips with my girls!!  So now I'm really stuck at home - can't think about looking for a replacement vehicle until the beginning of the new year!!!!  But no one was hurt so that's a good thing!!  How is everything going with you?  How's your girl doing?  I still have to get you to come over to the Moms of Daughters 2 group!!!!!

chinadoll,

Just saw your post on the other Navy Daughters page.  I'll keep Avia in my prayers for a successful MEPS day - - even tho' that will take her away from you for awhile!!!!  :)  But we understand it's what they want and we are so proud of them.  Please tell her "Thank You for choosing the world's greatest Navy" for me!!!!!

Did you hear from any GA moms yet?
