Otay. Thanks for letting me know. Yeah I forgot to say before that he told me in the letter that for the first 2 weeks they didn't do much cuz they had to wait for the girls to come the first week then didn't do much the next then after all that they did there physicals, shots, and went to the dentist. So yeah I was thinking they may be a bit behind.
Ah fingers crossed definitely!! And that is not good :/ I hope that all of the recruits in the division got to send their letters out. That makes me mad about the guys not taking it seriously. It's not fair to the rest of them at all.
Ya it kinda sucks, but I guess they really push that fact of them working together cuz it's crucial when they are on the ship or sub. But yes I hope they get their act together quick.I can't wait for that call!!
Yeah check when you get home! I hope you get a letter today. If not girl we will just keep looking every day!! It will be here soon!! He said that there are some young guys that are not taking it as serious as they should and the entire div is getting punished for it. But other than that nothing bad about the div. But what I have been reading is that there seems to be young guys that are doing that all over the place. It prob will take some time for those guys. I'm really close to Chi. It will only take a hr drive to get to Great Lakes. What I can make out on the letter is the 14th. So yours has to be coming like any day now. I live closer so that's prob why I got it today. It's totally fine with the questions!!! Ask away!!! No he didn't mention when they get a call.
No we didn't. Yeah check and let me know if you did cuz I just want to make sure there is no problem with us getting his check deposited. YES I got a letter today!!!!!!!! Did you?
No, still haven't heard anything.I did check to see that he got paid so now I can make his car payment! Maybe tomorrow or thursday... he never was one for writing much but I figured he would manage a line or 2...had a friend at church Sunday tell me she only got one letter the whole time her son was in there! Not encouraging!
Bridgette- my son is in div144 and I haven't heard from him either. He did get to make a call the first Saturday they were there for about 5 minutes or so...not sure when THE phone call will come. Some have said 3-4 weeks in.
Yeah I have seen where other people in that div haven't gotten letters either. You will probably get one this week, which will take so much weight off your shoulders. I know when I got mine it was like I could finally breathe again. But I am doing good, just miss him alot but I think we are all in that same boat!
Received form letter yesterday 3/10...my son left on 2/23 out of Southern California. I was happy to receive the form letter so I could start sending all the letters I have been writing! Even though I had his address from his Recruiter right after he left, my son was very stick in saying don't send any letters until you receive the form letter....so now I'm sending and writing away! Can't wait for the first phone call...It's been hard emotionally for me as he's my first born and we are soooooo close! I can't wait to hear his voice....I'm booking travel as I type this too! Can't WAIT for PIR!
I'm with you there! It was a surprise how many times a day I cry. I just want to know that he is ok and well shoot I just want to be able to give him a hug whenever I want. That's good almost a year! Starting a family and getting married will make you extremely happy. Maybe this could be a good time to get your ideas together and then when you guys get together you can show him what you came up with. That's great that you are getting your education!!! I'm sure that make him proud while he is doing his thang lol. You will get threw these days crying or not we will get threw this. Yeah inbox me the info and I will give you my info and we can go from there. Same here.....type your heart away :-)
