Welcome to Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones); I look forward to sharing this journey with you. Given your SR's contracted rating based on the group you have joined, be sure to check out the Pages (found under the pictures of the Members) beginning with OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes To Your Profile); you may want to make change 3 at the bottom. Since you have an SR at the RTC, you can change "Waiting to leave for Boot Camp" above to "Enlisted". What is your SR's rating going to be? There are groups for most ratings and/or "A" Schools and knowing that will help you to better plan for PIR weekend. Take care and blessings to you and yours.

Party. was good. Britt loved itshe will be going to A school in Chicago. I am very proud of her. She is very head strong . I have a son also that is twenty so i know what u mean by slower to mature. The important part is that they mature someday. Tell your son i wish him all the luck. I will say a prayer for him while I am praying for my britt.

We will just be spending time together as a family after the party.  Doing small quiet things just to enjoy her company and make some famikly memories before she leaves.  She requested that her last couple weeks at home be very low key as she wants to rest relax and focus.

And I just counted 70 people we invited to her party - I guess I got a little carried away!!!  But it is definitely something to look forward to!

I totally understand the whole college thing.  Alyssa got good grades in college but it was not the right place for her.  Her score on the test made her very happy and eligible for the job she wanted - Master at Arms.  She will be going to San Antonio right after PIR for A school. I have to admit she seems to be getting a little nervous!

Hi!  My daughter leaves July 17th from Connecticut.  We also bought a flag for the house and window decals for the cars.  HOWEVER, those moments of sadness are getting more frequent and I find myself awake at 2AM teary eyed over the fact that she will be away from home possibly lonely, scared, or hurting and I won't be there to comfort her.   My husband keeps reminding me that she will be stronger for it and will be safe, but she's my little girl.  Where is your son going after boot camp?
