Be sure to make at least change 3 and consider change 4.

I invite you to join Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) and to check out the Pages (found under the pictures of the Members) there.

Arrival and What Happens at RTC will let you know what is happening and what to expect.

The Page, 800 and 900 Divisions, within Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) will be of interest to you since you have a recruit in a performing division. I believe that Division 911 is Sticks/Flags.

Write to your recruit and ask when Battle Stations-21 (BST) will be to know when to expect the "I'm a Sailor!" call.

Master at Arms is a rating very dear to my heart since my Sailor was an MA. Join San Antonio MA's; the discussion, Break down week by week, will let you know what happens at NTTC Lackland (San Antonio). You will also want to join MAA Moms.

The Rating Information Card for MA can be found at https://www.cool.navy.mil/usn/enlisted/rating_info_cards/ma.pdf; it indicates 9 weeks, but "A" School is 7 weeks after classing up. https://www.thebalancecareers.com/navy-enlisted-rating-descriptions-qualifications-3345832 has some good info for you.

Your Sailor will most likely fly out to "A" School the day after PIR. Plan to leave late Saturday or on Sunday if you are able. See PIR Day and Liberty During PIR Weekend within Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) to help you know how to plan your weekend.

Make at least change 3 at the bottom of OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes to Your Profile) (clickable link) and change the Privacy Settings for this page from "Anyone" to "Members."

Also consider change 4.

You may also want to update your "A little about me:" section. If you keep it vague, then you won't have to update it often.

There may be other changes you need to make as well, so read and consider each of the changes.

If you get an error message, then look at the area/s in the error message and unclick all of the choices in the area/s and make choices closer to the question/s. Some choices may have changed since you joined.

Hi jlamommy! I hope you were able to get your son's address, did his recruiter call you? My day was hectic as always. I have an 8 year old (soon to be 9) and a 7 year old. Their still on summer break, which is good right now, keeps me from worrying about my daughter :). How are you holding up?

At 1:25am on July 19, 2012, USSTonya said…

Hang in there, I'm sure you'll receive something soon. You can always try contacting your son's recruiter for his address.

Day%20to%20Day%20Schedule%20at%20bc.docxHi Tracie:

Hang in there-this to shall pass.  Start writing letters that helps-tell him everything..letters are their life lines and they want to know every detail of what is happening at home and in the world.   You should start getting letters and a call in about 3.5 to 4 weeks-that helps.  Remember once he gets to A School he can have a computer and he can Skype you.  Also, look at all links on this site and on Facebook look up Recruit Training Command(for whats going on at BC and Letters for Recruits-that will help too.  Good-luck and feel free to message with any questions.
