Hi Eryn...my name is Theresa. My son Terence is with ship 7 div 214. He is your age...19. I am so hungry for information about our 'boys' that I check this site all the time. I did get a letter today and he sounded really good...very busy but in good spirits. He mentioned they are in Hell Week...that scares me a bit but I know he is strong. Maybe your boyfriend and Terence know each other. Are you heading out to graduation?
At 12:10am on May 20, 2010, I_love_Thomas said…
I really hope they have!! Have you figured out all of the information for graduation? I've bought the hotel room, but not the flight..I wasn't positive which day to leave and return!

Wednesdays are definitely my new favorite days too. :) And of course I cry my eyes out reading the letters. They are all happy tears, but still tears. I know the anxious part. It kills me sometimes. I knew Brad wanted to join the navy way before we started dating, but he has talked about that since high school (he's now 22) so I never knew if it would really ever happen. He has never been one to jump at opportunity, so when he really did join I panicked. BAD... then the anticipation before he left made me seriously crazy. I would cry at dinner on a daily basis. I would pick fights over every small thing. It was really bad. I thought i was losing him forever you would have thought. Then not hearing from him in three weeks killed me. I again started to go insane. This site kept me sane.

I'm doing actually really good lately. The first two and a half weeks were horrible. I couldn't eat or sleep. All I did was cry. NO LIE. I thought I was going to fail out of one of my classes because I could not make myself go. I just wanted to stay home and be miserable. Once I got that first letter I realized that if Brad knew how I was acting he would have been very upset. I started working more, studying more, and visiting family and friends. I also write all the time. It helps so much. I hope it gets better for you as well. We only have 26 days left. :) I am so excited. I miss my boy a bunch too. but who wouldn't? Hang in there. And Talk to me anytime you need to. I love talking it makes me feel better about this whole situation, because we need people that are going through the same thing.
