Hi Proud Mom, I'm more than happy to pick your son up from Travis and give him a home cooked meal or a place to hang out for awhile if he's missing home. Send me a message and I will give you my phone # to pass on to him.
You do not have to send a penny. A group of my girlfriends and I have already gotten all of the things and are putting the basets together today. All you need to do is give me his first and last name and any special message you would like on the card. I will be delivering them tomorrow around 5ish just after chow. I am glad to know that he has a supportive mom and it's the least we can do for men who are willing to stand for our freedom. With out these men and women my kids would not live a free life. If there is anything else I can help you with please let me know, I am here!
Congrats, Zach's mom! I had to check your page when you didn't post on boot camp to see how Zach did in battlestations. Saw your comment that he did it! HooYAH!! Now you can let the excitement build before PIR. It will be spectacular!
My son is on Ship 6 Div 931 also. Sophie is my dog :-)
Looking forward to PIR on 18 June also. I haven't gotten any phone calls, but I did get 2 letters. His girlfriend keeps me informed and she gets the calls :-)~

Hi Traci. A couple of things. Since your son will be near San Antonio for A School, you may want to join the group San Antonio MA's. I put a "Break down week by week" on there and update it as people note changes, so it may help you to know what to expect. My Sailor is loving being an MA.
Another thing, since you have pictures on your My Page, please consider changing you Privacy settings to Members or Just My Friends. As you have your settings now, anyone with access to the web can visit your page. Take care and blessings to you and yours.
Hey, Traci! Do the divs that start with "9" called performance divisions? If so, what does your son do? I'd like to know more about that. Thanks, Martha
PS. Lizzie and I rode the Amtrak from Dallas to St. Louis when she was 10 and had so much fun there. We went up in the Arch and rode your "metro" rail out to the zoo. Then we flew home. Oh yes, and we walked down to the Mississippi River and stuck our feet in! Good memories!
Hi Zach's Mom!
My son, Lance, is also on Ship 6 Div 931 at Great Lakes. Glad to see another mom to relate to. He graduated college, degreed, and couldn't find a job in this economy, so he decided to join the Navy. He also is musical; but, not sure if that's what he'll be doing. Last letter stated he was in a unit that was hand picked. But couldn't tell what for. He was very tired last letter and didn't write much. Hope Zach is doing GREAT!
