Make at least change 3 at the bottom of OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes to Your Profile) (clickable link). I suggest "Just My Friends" since you have chosen to include pics of your loved one on your My Page. (You can remove the pics to increase PERSEC by making change 5 if you choose.)

There may be other changes you need to make as well, so read and consider each of the changes.

Another change that I recommend that is mentioned in change 1 is to change the ZIP Code to one that is not easily associated with you or your loved one.

Where is your loved one stationed (what vessel, if one)? There may be groups I can direct you to.

Hello JJ,

Our son is on the USS Arleigh Burke. They leave tomorrow for about 6 months or so. He is a GSE FR. Its a lot of hard work dealing with the old destroyers I guess. We are looking forward to going out to Norfolk when the ship comes back to port. I did hook up with a lady that rents out her house. I guess its directly across the bay from the base. We are just hoping that we have enough of a heads up to get the house rented and get ourselves out there to see them come in. This is all very new for us so its nice to talk to a veteran Mom. Our son enlisted right out of high school.

OK, after having a headache all day I think it is starting to go away.  Hopefully that means tomorrow will be "normal".  Ha, Ha.

If it starts at 1, we should probably leave at 12:15, as you never know what kind of traffic, or parking there may be.

I'll still call sometime tomorrow night.  We have an Art Fair at school that I need to go to --- from 6:30 till ?

Have a good Friday, and try to be good  :)

I'm glad that you are doing better.  I'm still checking the calendars for Saturday.   I am getting things ready for the week.  So far have Meetings and church 3-4 days.  Hope that I can keep it all straight.  :)

I'm excited that your sailor is moving along.

Maybe I can hitch a ride Saturday?

did you son mention that the sailors on Enterprise need any supplies?  I joined Molly's Adopt a Sailor and that group mentioned that the sailors on the ships in Japan needed stuff because they were giving everything they had to the people in Japan.

What if we have people bring stuff to the next lunch and contribute to the shipping?  Would you ship them to him (then you wouldn't have to give out his address) and have him distribute stuff?

THANKS for the picture.  It made me laugh!!!

And, I love your pictures here.  Some day I will have to get my act together and put some up.  I enjoyed today.  It was good to see you again.  Have a great night.

My husband did get his pants and we got the grocery shopping done.  Now we can relax.

Hi there,
The eyes are doing well. Had a great check up, and now get to pick out frames and then in about a week I will really be able to SEE!!!!
I won't be able to go to the next meet either. We are at a wedding that my son is standing up in. (Actually, we are friends with the grooms family.)
We might be able to see our daughter and little grandson, too. Time will tell.
School has been hectic. I'll be optimistic, and say that I can't wait for things to settle down. :)

Morning, thanks for the reminder. Things are so hectic here. My parents are staying with my sister, so I'm not sure when they will get here. My one son is leaving Mon. to go to China to teach English as a Second Language.
I'm also a little down because I think that my sailor is going through a difficult time.
I'm looking forward to seeing you all again and some pictures!

Jody,
Eric is in the Special Forces. So, there is very little to ZERO information about his job that he is allowed to give out. Maybe, with the flights being what they are, the boys might be on the same flight. Eric will be heading to Virginia as well and since flights are at a premium, they may be heading to either Germany or Amsterdam first, before heading to the USA. I can't remember the last time Eric wore an uniform on a flight, so picking him out amoung the other passengers would be nearly impossible (other than the fact that he looks like any other Scandinavanian, blue eyes/blond hair) not to mention that he pronounces Minnesota with a very LONG "O". LOL I wish them both a safe flight home and for you, Jody, give you son a hug for me too!!
JJ
