Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Sorry, that was a typo, http://navyformoms.com/profile/TrinaCronier is the URL for this page.

Every time you have posted on N4M since 6 November 2008 when you joined you have posted your full name, TinaC...... (I only posted the first letter of your last name although the whole last name is visible above to help with PERSEC), since it is visible in the URL above and any time ANYONE (not just members of N4M, but ANYONE with access to the web) who happens upon one of your posts anywhere in the site. Yes, you probably made the change in your Username soon after joining the site, but this is the first time that one of your posts came to my attention. It really is not a good idea to have your full name up there nor is it a good idea to have your Sailor's pic up there. Please do consider the changes below to increase PERSEC.

I see you have changed your Username so that it no longer contains your last name; you also need to change the URL to this page. Make change 2 at the bottom of OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes to Your Profile) (clickable link) to take care of that. (If you are using a Smart phone, you will need to switch to Desktop View to make this change.) Also make change 3 while you are there so that this page is no longer open to EVERYONE (Anyone) with access to the web.

It's not a good idea to post a pic of your Sailor every time you post, so also make change 4.

There may be other changes you need to make as well, so read and consider each of the changes.

Another change that I recommend that is mentioned in change 1 is to change the ZIP code to one that is not easily associated with your Sailor.

Typo...Eric is an officer. He is a commander. Eric tried to explain what "on Staff" meant, but didn't follow it too well. What I could figure out way, that Eric is in charge of an unit that has to do with the communications part of the ship. Eric has been in the navy for nearly 17 years (yup, you read that right). He was just on board yesterday to make sure everything was going in the right direction. She has been in and out of port several times in the last week or so, doing some sort of manuvers and running her through her paces. They have to make sure that she is up to full time duty when they head out to the Persian Gulf. Are you coming Saturday? We can talk then.

Eric is an office. He is on staff on the Enterprise. Hope to see you at the Buffulo Wild Wings place at 1:00 Saturday.

Oops, I answered you on my page instead of yours. I'm sorry, it's been a strange week. One of my other sons' car was stolen Sunday night, I lost a dear friend Friday night, and my washer has gremlins. It somehow flooded my backyard :(

He's been in Norfolk several months, he recently signed up for a couple more years. I think he likes it well enough, gets bored easily. The wreck totalled hiis truck, he was going around an unfamiliar curve and ended up in a six foot ravine. The truck flipp ed twice, his head hit the steering wheel, knocked him out and threw him in the backseat. The other young men couldn't wake him up. He's back at work, so I hope he's ok. I bet our sons know each other.

My son Brad is an MM on the Enterprise as well! I wonder if they know each other. He was in an accident in Maryland on Sunday, but was back at work yesterday.

Wendy - wow that is so cool Jim will be on E. We aren't that far away from each other - I am in Wyoming, MN. I was thinking of doing a road trip in March, but not sure yet.

I bet Jim is glad to be getting out of NY!!! I know Spencer was so glad to leave. He seems to be enjoying his time in Norfolk, but he HATES that he has to live on the ship. He is thinking of re-enlisting, I forget what he calls it - I think star re-enlist? When he does that, he will move up to E5 and then can live off the ship.

Jim should get about a month at home - that will be nice. I will send you a message with my email so we can chat back and forth there if we need to. Are you on Facebook?

Hi Trina,
I was wondering how your son was making out on the BIG E. Did he make it out of INDOC yet? Have you had most of your questions answered? Hope all is well.

Trina, The Enterprise is currently in the shipyard in Newport News, not far from Norfolk, and will most likely be there until she goes underway next year. My son has been there for about 6 months now.
