Hi Sarina!
Talked to my son today, he said that him & Dylan went for a run today & I asked him if he called you & he said yeah mom iI told him to call his mom, lol.
Hi Sarina! long time no talk..I am doing good.. we are almost there huh? woo-hoo ! Are your plans all set? ? I only have only received the one phone call from Ashley and two lettters but none today! I ran to my mail box.. oh well i have to think they are super busy! I am like totally missing her..as all the other moms!! So where are you guys staying? Well take care! Rosemary
hi..well at least you heard from him...yay! now I wish they woulcall now! Hollywould i will be staying at Navy Lodge..its near the base. I want to be as close as I can. My neighbors stayed there too for their son. I am going with my sister and neice and Ashley's dad is going to..rosemary
Hi Hollywould :) My son got to BC on the 15th and his PIR is 4/15 ( Ship 9/Div 131) I received the " Kid in the box" and my form letter. Have your tried calling his recruiter to find out his grad. date? Hang in there, you will get news soon :)
I noticed you said you had car reservation, how did you that? I am have the hotel and the airplane tickets but I am still trying to figure out the car rental. Thanks for the help in advance :)
Have been thinking about you Sarina-hope you get your letter tomorrow. It is basically a form letter with a pamphlet about the area attractions (for when you come to PIR I think!). Log's note was very short, about 7 words, but still good to get. You should be hearing soon I think. Take Care, hope you have a great Sun. and Mon.--Julie
Hi Sarina.. thanks! and glad to meet you.. have you been looking for air fare yet? I have been doing so much research! exhausting.. I am finding myself so busy now.. with my new navy mom friends and also on Facebook.. I am on the site that is being updated by the training center.. weather etc.. I think you are the one who referred me to the link? Well have a great day! Rosemary
Look on the RTC wall where they have the latest photo. It says:
Hull Maintenance Technician 1st Class Scott Davis, a Recruit Division Commander, makes a last-minute inspection of one of his recruits’ racks (bunk) before the entire division goes through a Personnel Inspection.
Sarina, there is a Mom on a group of graduation 4/15/11 that started a page for Ship 9; Div 138. To friend her her name is mamamary805. I was glad to find that page-there are at least 3 of us now! Thanks for your number. Our's is 605-341-4532. We live in western South Dakota-in the Black Hills. Just had 9+ inches of snow this weekend and starting to cool off a lot.
I bet Log enjoyed taking your pic with Dylan. He is an avid photographer and one of the things he did before he left was give his really good (expensive) camera to his sister-in-law so she could take pictures of the kids for all of us. He said he could replace it later and someone should be using the camera now. I thought you might be his friends Mom because I saw your post about Dylan and that your were from CA. Logan told me that only 4 of them flew out of San Francisco that day so I thought hmm can't be that many Dylan's in the group! We are definitely planning on being there for Graduation so let the planning begin!
Sarina, That is our Log!! Did my heart good to see this picture, it is so typical Logan except he does look tired to me. My name is Julie (I have a redmop of hair-actually dark auburn and gray now!!). I will have to look at a map and get a feel for where you are in CA. Did Dylan sign up in Daly City as well? I need to go, will write more later. So nice to touch base with you-Dylan looks like a teddy bear of a young man! Take Care now.
Sarina, I am Logan's Mom. He is probably older than your son, he was 24 in Dec. I was so grateful for his call from O'Hare but confused at first when I saw Dylan's name on the caller ID. Then Log told me he had been loaned a cell phone-Log let his go in Dec. It is nice to touch base with someone else in that group. I have Log's division as 138, ship 9. I've seen a lot of other ship 9, but not another division of that number. Log is going for submarine electronics computer field (SECF). Hope to hear more about Dylan. Take Care.
