FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

hope you are well.  My name is Jennifer and my SR is my only daughter who has been in the delayed entry program since January.  I can't believe how time is not flying by while she is away at BC.  I hope we can compare notes and chat sometime.  It is a beautiful day today in Maine.

hi, im Tammy, Alysas mom and it was nice to hear from you too, she is my baby too and my oldest lives in Washington state with his family. i miss her voice, i have my phone on all the time but she called her dad first he lives in California, its hard for her with us being seperated and not in the same state and all. i bet your felling the same as me that September 23rd cant come fast enough. Alysa will be spending her 19th birthday in BC but at her swear in she told me that she will try and call me, i sure hope she can. have a nice day and hope you hear from your sailor girl.

Hi, I just saw your post. My daughter is also on ship 11 div 318. Will you be going to PIR? I'm also from N.Y., Auburn, It's 1/2 was between Syracuse and Rochester, Central N.Y. We got our form letter yesterday. She sounds good and is actually enjoying it for the most part.

I'm trying to message you but it won't let me be strong cause they could have had a lot of things different we could be dealing with. this is a positive thing yes we miss them but they are starting an awesome carrier and can have a future we've only dreamed of. Traveling the world seeing all the different cultures.  This short time is the hardest on us but we will get through it.. My name is Tiffany. How old is ur daughter??

Hi yes dollar coaster of emotions here this is my oldest daughter she is 17 just graduated she signed in march so we knew for while this was her time to leave. She was my hardest girl she left with the I can't wait to get out of here and be my iwn rule setter etc... We went to meps and watched her get sworn in etc but when I got the call last night sounded that it may finally be hitting her cause she had crackle voice like she wanted to cry. Now we wait I want to fast forward to week 4 I see a lot of moms r reporting on here to be at ease at that point. Let's stay in touch and we can walk this out together
