We are moving right along Kimberly! I was traveling last week so that helped pass the time but to sit in my office and expect to get any real work done is shaky! Can you believe...18 days!

Hey Mary :)
So - we are now in the works & in the process of making SWAG- aka- N4M stuff. :) We have to figure out a few things-IE who is going to make it and ship it... what are we going to make, etc. So hang tight. As we get closer- I will let you know!

Also, I live in MI. So, I am guessing that it's a 5/6 hour drive. I think it's great you are planning a big dinner! I don't know if I can make it... I think it's sweet you have asked me :) If status changes on that... we will be in touch. :) cc

Notre Dame?!!! I'll try to be nice! If the guys get liberty that weekend they are limited to a 50 mile radius from the bus and must be in uniforms the whole time.

Carnival was our first cruise, then we did a Norweigen and then tried RC and have been hooked on it since but I think they all great cruise lines and as long as I'm out on the ocean blue that is all that matters! Our daughter is a freshman in college and she really wants to work on a cruise ship too, she interview every waiter and room steward that she could last week - grilling them on what they liked, how long have they been with the company etc. Her major is public relations...she could be the entertainment director!

Funny Molly, my husband spent many years on Navy ships and I wanted to go on a cruise in the worst way and he refused!!! Said he seen enough ships to last a lifetime!!! It took a number of years and he finally gave in and agreed to do a 3 nighter. Loved it and I can't tell you how many cruises we have been on since!! We are partial to Royal Caribbean - how bout you?

Colton probably knows this already but the best students in class, get to pick orders for where they want to be stationed. My husband definitely wanted to be in Japan so he finished #1 in his C school and got exactly what he was hoping for.

Might be the same leader that my nephew had! lol. My sister called his recruiter and he said it would be most unusual for them to go from boot camp to deployment - they have not been trained in their field until after A school. I hope that you find that to be the case as well.

Hi Starr, we have been out of town for the past week so sorry for the delay. Our son went in on 2/26 as well and will graduate on 4/25. I expect that we will be receiving the graduation packages this week. What division/ship is your son in? You can find the grad dates (if you still need them) on Recruit Training Command website.

I would be too Kim, clearly he is not a selfish young man. I have the Easter cards ready to send...wishing I could sneak in a jelly bean or two! But you will find out that our sons will do a better job adjusting to the rules and regulations than we will!

My husband was a sailor Molly and we have fabulous years to remember and fabulous friends still from our Navy days. Our son was actually born at the Navy Hospital in Japan! C school comes after A school and I'm not a 100% sure but I believe it is for advance programs such as computers, electronics, sonar, crypto, etc. My husband was in this field and my son will be as well. His A school lasted 26 weeks and his C school was over a year long. Lots of training before ever seeing any duty stations.

On the shores of Lake Michigan? Wow, Justin probably won't have much trouble adjusting to weather in Great Lakes!!! Personally I planning on wearing long underwear to graduation in April!! lol

Sheila - yes we will be doing graduation together - it is April 25th @ 9 am central time. You will get a grad package in the mail about 4 weeks after Justin left to get you some details and hotel info. But in the meantime this just posted on the Recruit Training Command site and I thought it would make you smile...(look at the last line!)

You are slacking off Linda! I just mailed Nicks' 9th letter today! Don't know when he will see them. I think they are required to use that middle intial on their letters and I cannot believe that just that intial will hold up his mail - certainly hope not. I'm hearing many cases where the recruit is waiting and waiting for mail and all of a sudden they get a boatload in one day. There is a lot of game playing in boot camp, I wonder sometimes if they hold up the mail for a few days on purpose (?)

Where did you tell me Justin is going after PIR ...is it Gulfport?

They don't make collect calls. When they receive their "ditty bag" that is all the stuff that they need, there is a 60minutes phone card in it. They can also purchase phone cards there!

Hey Linda, I want my form letter!! Nothing yet from Nick other than the box. Tell him he will have PT until he grads...get over it!!! I hear the food is good too. I finally had to empty Nick's box - it was just haunting me looking at it each day but I haven't done the laundry either. Get that calling card out to him, sometimes they get a call in the second or third week. I did write Nick last night and shared Justin's name and said if someone comes up to you and says...your mom must be as weird as my mom...lol. I'm so glad that we have this exchange, it will be days and weeks before we hear from our sons but this site is certainly addictive but helpful!
