A little about me:
I am the mother of Ethan who is scheduled to PIR on 6-4-10. I am so proud of my son and all that he has accomplished in such a short time. I am truly excited to find out what the future will bring for that sweet man I call my son!

When I heard “Navy,” I...
Was proud and encouraged it
The Navy offers opportunities that...
No news is good news. I have learned that knowing that your child is doing what he truly wants to do is the most amzaing feeling a mother could ever have even it it takes them away from you for a short while. In the beginning it feels like forever but the time really does go faster than you think.
Our Navy experience so far...
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

I know how anxious and excited we are to have bootcamp over and done with, so can you imagine how the boys are feeling? I try to look at as we're having a difficult time, but what the boys/girls are going through it's probably ten times worse for them!! You guys look like your a really close family - the same as us. Oh, we've had our ups and downs with Jamie, but in the end there's nothing like a families love. Gosh, I can't wait to see him and I'm really over this no communication thing also!

Thats so great to hear everyone getting letters because it does help with knowing information but disappointed because all I've gotten is one letter in the past 2 weeks. I'm very anxious to get to PIR and its been very hard to function in normal everyday stuff because I want it to be here SOOO bad. I hope that we all get some more letters this next week :)

Shelly: Jamie is a talker, so I'm sure he's enjoying this letter writing now. I am so sorry you haven't gotten a letter from Ethan. It does make you anxious. The wondering is enough to drive you crazy. He asked me to send more pictures because the "guys" like to share pictures and tell about each others families. I have a feeling that Ethan probably knows a great deal about my family now! I always said if Jamie was home, everyone knew about it. I'll keep my fingers crossed you get something this coming week.
