OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Follow this link for OPSEC Guidelines:

A little about me:
I served in the US Navy a long time ago as you can see by my photo above. I was fresh out of Bootcamp and in School in San Diego.. .lets just say the Disco Era had not even started yet. I am an Honorably Discharged, Partially disabled US Navy Veteran. The Navy doesnt like it when I talk about what I did so.. all I can say is .. "I served Honorably".

What many of you dont know is that I came to this site to bust a Poser who was pretending to be a Navy SEAL LtCdr. I worked with the Site Admin to try to figure out who/what/where this guys is. He is still being investigated and we are trying to track him down. For those of you who helped me try to "Out" this poser, I thank you very much. SEAL Authenticators are onto this guy "Greg" and hopefully can put some closure to the case with an FBI prosecution under the Stolen Valor Act of 2005.
