Another Mom had contacted me last night...she told me that she was there on Navy Night, too, with some pictures from the opposite side of the field. She had asked me if I'd like to see them, and, that she could share them with me. Once she shares those pics with me, I will notify you. I would love for you to get a snapshot of your son.

Hi wdaweb...I've uploaded my sister's pictures from Navy Night. Once they are approved, they should be available to view. I hope that you can spot your son in at least one of the shots that she'd taken.

I will definitely post my sister's photos upon receiving them from her. You may also want to try to Google "Navy Night Cellular Field" to see if any pictures come up. There were a lot of photographers there taking pictures of last night's ceremony. As a matter of fact, one woman approached us and said that she was from Great Lakes and was wondering if she could take a picture of us, because we had a huge poster that said "Good luck William, Navy Pride" on it. I wonder if Great Lakes has a newsletter, or, photo gallery somewhere. I'm so new here, that I'm still searching out all kinds of links on Great Lakes.

Congratulations wdaweb...your son is officially in boot camp! I think that they may be in the same division together, because they are sponsored by the White Sox team. My son's name is William. And, my name is Amanda. Looks like we can enjoy this ride together, huh?

I wish that I had more pictures of the recruits on the field for you, but, they had them split up. Half of them were on the other side of the field. We were just lucky enough to have our son positioned right in front of us! My sister had taken some photos, too. But, her computer is down right now and won't have it fixed until the weekend. If she has more shots of the recruits, I will certainly post them for you!

We heard from our son last night, too...but, we were already asleep. He left us a voicemail. It sounded like he was reading from a scripted message they had written down for him!
